Bits of Silicon Hell for 1-29-2005 (20.85MB; download) -- This week's show was so much easier to record and edit. The quality should be much better than week. So here it is, download it or get it through the

As always, here are the links for the week:

TechTV Story on Mobcasting (0.66MB; download) -- It turns out that TechTV did a story yesterday on mobcasting. Here's a podcast posted by one of the correspondents for their show Screen Savers. They also link to the tutorial that I posted a couple of weeks ago.
Listening to his podcast, it seems they were discussing mobcasting in the more traditional "moble podcasting" sense rather than the "smart mob podcasting" sense, but hey, it's still fun listening to them hanging out on a corner in Hollywood jazzed about posting a mobile podcast.... -ac Selected by: Harold Gilchrist [ stations ], Sat, 29 Jan 2005 21:21:43 UTC

The controversial TSHNN is at show 18 (19.69MB; download) -- This week I talk a little more about Adam Curry and My hatred for the Daily Source Code. My mom calls and we chat about the life and times in an old folks home and why she needs to change her answering machine message. A phoney Phone call to Road Runner Circa 2000. Major Props to mostlytrivial.com although Brian screws up my trivia question. I also make fun of the new Arizon Cardnals Logo and Mr. X and the one minute tip podcast gets ripped on. Beef PR, Polar Bears, Wolves, Canadian Beef Imports and US Meatpacking Jobs (8.38MB; download) -- Friday's edition of Erik's Diner starts with Jamie Newlin's take on how U.S. style beef advertising is being exported worldwide. Jamie also contributed articles on polar bear hunting and Norway's effort to exterminate their few remaining wolves. I finish off the show by talking about how U.S. slaughterhouses are trying to open the border to Canadian beef, using the pathetic excuse that they care about American jobs. Conveniently, another news piece today shows the industry's true colors.
