Add this to another station http://mp3.morningcoffeenotes.com/cnMay12.mp3 (8.79MB; download) -- The podcast of today's talk in Pisa, Italy; unconferences, blogging, RSS, podcasting, making money on the Internet, and an end to monoculture. This is probably the podcast I'll give to KYOU for their inaugural broadcast, and it's the speech I would have given at the Syndicate conference. It's a pretty good explanation of the ideas that are making a difference in the blog, pod, syndo-spheres. Web services are in there too, but aren't really part of the user story. If you want to understand where I think we're going, please listen to this cast. It's only 25 minutes, and is packed with ideas.

Add this to another station Doc Searls: DIY-IT (13.56MB; download) -- In this conversation with host/producer Doug Kaye, Doc explains the vision he's been speaking and writing about since early 2003: do-it-yourself IT (DIY-IT). He suggests that we view the construction industry and its vendors as a model for commodity component-based application development. He says this is a "corner of the market you're not going to see when you look at vendor sports, the supply side...Really powerful things happen when the demand side starts to supply iteself."

Add this to another station Tim O'Reilly and Rael Dornfest: O'Reilly Radar: News from the Future (15.67MB; download) -- Tim O'Reilly, Founder and CEO of O'Reilly Media, Inc., and O'Reilly Media CTO, Rael Dornfest, expand on the theme of the 2005 O'Reilly Emerging Technology Conference, 'Remix', by exploring the very latest trends in technology during their presentation titled The O'Reilly Radar: News From the Future. In a tag team fashion, O'Reilly and Dornfest describe what they're noticing through an analytical device derived from Christopher Alexander's book "A Pattern Language: Towns, Building, Construction" called pattern descriptions of business models where both a problem and a solution are presented in relation to a given context. The piece I referred to but didn't explain was Monoculture, it asked if it's a 20th century artifact. (I think it is.) And the Raymond Poort clip from the Daily Source Code is archived here.
